EXPLORER POST 1948
The Explorer Post is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America that is specifically designed for youth between the ages of 12 and 18 who want a head start on their future. They learn essential skills that will prepare them for their journey ahead.
Our Explorer Post was started in June 1998, since then the Explorers have seemed to grow together. They have trained together, and learned together. Since the post was formed, the “scouts” have become CPR certified and Basic First Aid certified. They undergo continual training in EMS during their training every Saturday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
The Post has been involved in some events where they provide First-Aid to the sick and injured, some of these events are:
-
Merced County Fair - Medical Aid coverage
-
Los Banos Fair - Medical Aid coverage
-
Additional community events such as Parades and Health Fairs.
The Explorer Post has also played a part as a stepping stone into a career in EMS.
